3 ways to speak your truth + own who you truly are

speak your truth and own who you truly are

Imagine feeling completely confident in who you are + not shying away from any part of yourself.  A silent but strong knowledge of how you truly are.

Here’s what you need to know: in order to step into our best, embrace who we truly are + cultivate radical self-acceptance we need to embrace our worth. Without a strong sense of worthiness, things will always feel off.

So….let’s talk about owning who we are, sharing our truth + embracing who we truly are, shall we?

I’m so excited about this one, you guys, because I have seen how wonderfully it transformed my own life.

BUT it can be tricky. Embracing yourself, owning your story + sharing your truth with the world can be a scary thing.

  • It requires stepping out of the shadows + into the light.
  • It’s saying “this is who I truly am+ I don’t care who knows it”.

Many times, out of fear of not being accepted, we trade in authenticity for approval (aka hustling for worthiness). And this starts to feel really yucky!

So how do we get to a point where we confidently speak our truth + embrace who we truly are? (aka allow ourselves to live from a place of worthiness)

  1. Recognize + embrace what makes you special and unique

Who are you? What do you love? Who do you want to be? Getting curious and honest can help identify who you truly are.

Better yet, ask your closest friends and family how they see you. Do they see a beautiful dancer, a funny care-free woman + a smart young woman ready to take on the world? Take their thoughts with a grain of salt (of course!) but also keep in mind the beautiful ways they already see you. You may be pleasantly surprised by what you find out.

  1. Practice standing up for yourself

Remember your boundaries. Embracing yourself and being vulnerable about your truth requires you to stand up for yourself when someone crosses the line. Advocate for yourself + know where you begin.

  1. Express, express, express

You are a gorgeous human who has experienced a multitude of things. As such, you have lots to say. Express yourself. Find ways that feel good to you to express how you are feeling. Give your inner-most self the chance to express herself.

Here’s a challenge for you: get really curious about what who you are.

  • Take some time to reflect on what makes you, you.
  • What makes you unique + different?
  • Take some time to think about the person you are right now + how amazing you truly are. It may even help to journal it out so you can look at your list later.

A final word: Embracing authenticity + being who you truly are is the only way to lasting clarity, peace + confidence.

So start getting honest about who you truly are + get comfortable with yourself. You got this!
